There must be some way to do it, Ive seen mine spec troopys in nsw with an exo cage.

I fixed a hilux with a 350 chev with over heating problems by adding a small radiator from a gemini under the tray. I got a radiator place to mod with 3/8 inlets it so i could run it off the heater circuit in conjunction with the original rad, it worked well.

Im looking at buying a 2007 dual cab diesel 4x4 from work. its got a 190000ks on it and is a little rough as it has been driven on construction sites. How much would you pay?

Some workshops like to always find something, makes it look like there doing these job to the rta.

I would try disconnecting the fan and drive on the freeway and see what happens first, before swapping everything back.

Is the electric fan spinning the right way?
Is the fan on all the time?
Was the commo rad new or used?

I would be unbolting the torque converter bolts to the flex plate then try turning the engine. Then you can see if its the engine or gearbox

Why not just swap the fj40 body to the 80 series chassis

check the air flow meter isnt burnt from the gas backfiring.

Ive found a box from a 3l hilux, but im having trouble finding a bellhousing ive rang about 20 wreckers.
Also ive been told 4x4 and 2wd flywheels are different?

Ive got a 4runner with a 4y and im converting it to manual but im having trouble finding a box to suit.
Is it true a 22r bell housing and flywheel will fit a 4y?
Or even easier, has anyone got a 4y gearbox?

I would check the o-rings on the oil cooler

I would be looking for an exhaust manifold leak first.

From memory the cam gear is plastic, turn the crank and watch the rockers, if they dont move properly take the front cover off and have a look.

Have you drove a v6 4runner? there a pretty crap engine..

You could use the 3L pump on the 5L engine just fuel it up to suit.

Did the change in fuel economy happen suddenly? Is it blowing black smoke?

A 3L or 5L will fit straight in.

Did you bleed the proportion valve?
Also the rear brakes arent way out of adjustment?

Don't go through ARB. They are a rip off. I cracked a motor mount on my XD9000 and they wanted over $180 for it. Contact Ateco. They are the importer / distributor for Warn in Australia. Hi mate I have a few end caps off my race truck motors as I have got the flaming fab adaptor. They are off the 6hp Motors, not sure if the will fit, but you can have one. Crazie That would be sweet my end cap is 115mm in diameter and 45mm in height, does that sound about right? How much do you want ...

Ive got a warn xd9000 and the end cap on the motor is badly cracked. I spoke to ARB and they will only sell me a complete motor.

Where can I get the end cap?

Im trying to find a arb bullbar for my 1st gen 1989 4runner with irs and i cant find anything.
Has anybody tried fitting a late model bar and is it a straight fit or possible with a few modifications?

If its losing water and you cant see a leak theres a good chance its got a cracked head.
The 3L hiluxs are famous for it and they dont mix oil and water when it happens.

2.8 hiluxs dont blow gaskets, I guarantee its a cracked head.

Yep, but i think the head bolts might be a slightly different length.
