Air Cell and anticon have much similar results I've found, but the former is much easier to work with. Heaps lighter, no itchiness, thats a good thing when you're laying metres and metres of the stuff all day. Either way its a night and day difference to having nothing up there.

I reckon take 2 ...

As Bogan said, if you're still using the push-pull steering setup from the hilux, you still need it.

If you've gone to hi-steer or crossover, it's not necessary.

Did this a while ago... bulldogy is on the money. I would go the marlin kit though, I used the AA one from Marks and one of the seals doesn't fit very well, gotta widen the hole in the adaptor plate.

Extend your transfer shifter by 15mm, grind the transfer around one of the bolt holes and use an ...

yeah if you want flex in the rear don't get parabolics... I have the ones you spoke of, APM. They were under the car when i bought it, and even with longer shocks and stuff they get to a point and don't stretch any further. I switched the fronts asap with a custom rear pack, flexes and rides better ...

Bulldogy - I was contemplating cutting and lengthening the shifter below the ball, but wasn't sure whether the forward-shift chain drive shifter was longer and would slot straight in. I assume I would need to find one from a chain drive, manual shifting, U-shaped ...

R151 - Geardrive transfer shifter question

Hi all

I've just put a R151 in my 93 Hilux diesel with the adaptor from Marks to bolt up my original transfer from behind the G52. Everything bolted up sweet with the addition of a little clearancing for 1 bolt hole. But the shifter for the forward shift transfer doesnt come close to reaching the ...

Mounted the intercooler on top. It's a ebay cheapie 300x155x65 i think, but it works well. Scoop from a new hilux. Used to get up to ~440 max on 11 psi before intercooling. Oh and its a Denco kit.

There is one down my way in Australind, same colour but with 35 muddies, rear wheel carrier, roof rack with shovel and hi-lift mounted, great condition and looks awesome.

Fisho, the plates look like the original WA ones, before they went yellow. ;)

Had them in my first lux (83) and thought they were shit. Far too stiff. Flexed about as much as any 2" lift would but pretty rad to drive on the road through all the bouncing. Shocks were Rancho. This is only useful if your lux is for road driving, and if ya want flex don't buy an off the shelf 2 ...

ok just read this-
The 2 sides of the shed have to be cut neatly, as they won't be covered by barge capping (timber frame with overhanging eaves).
If possible, just get some colorbond 20x20 90 degree bent up, will hide the cut and look the goods. Rivet to the ribs of the sheet.

Had them front and rear 2" when i bought my diesel hilux. Unsure of brand but rode pretty nice on the road with shocks on soft setting. Not much flex though, depends on what you're after i suppose. Would prob be better flex in a heavier rig though, like your cruiser.

No lift, the front end is sitting an inch of the factory bump stops at ride height.

My spring hits on the pitman arm and drag link under articulation.

how does this work? If you only ...

Why did you choose to run 8"s?
I think you'll find most people run 12.5's on an 8" rim. Being a hilux too i like to air 'em way down, and the 8's hang on to the bead better than a 10" wide rim. (street driven, didn't want beadlocks)

On the mickey t train- the website says 35x12.5 radial claws are 889mm, when mine were brand new fitted to 15x8's @ 30psi i measured them to be 3mm less than this. (889/25.4=35.00) On the truck though they are less of course. If you want a true 35 with weight of the truck on it buy bigger.
