They were under the car when i bought it, and even with longer shocks and stuff they get to a point and don't stretch any further. I switched the fronts asap with a custom rear pack, flexes and rides better ...

R151 - Geardrive transfer shifter question
Hi all
I've just put a R151 in my 93 Hilux diesel with the adaptor from Marks to bolt up my original transfer from behind the G52. Everything bolted up sweet with the addition of a little clearancing for 1 bolt hole. But the shifter for the forward shift transfer doesnt come close to reaching the ...

Had them in my first lux (83) and thought they were shit. Far too stiff. Flexed about as much as any 2" lift would but pretty rad to drive on the road through all the bouncing. Shocks were Rancho. This is only useful if your lux is for road driving, and if ya want flex don't buy an off the shelf 2 ...

Hi I am another roof plumber/sheeter here, I confess I haven't fully read thru all the posts but I agree, please don't use a grinder (associated problems already discussed). Red's will do the neatest job but take ages. Excaliburs or even better EZ shears will do a neat job but are hard to use for a ...

I just took mine out, was a major PITA.
Keep an eye on metal brake lines in the engine bay too. Also my rubber clutch hose had too much tension on it and split, pissed fluid everywhere and no clutch operation... sweet. It's the one between the firewall and slave cylinder (diesel model). May need ...

Well... i reckon its good but it's a rebuilt engine with turbo pistons etc so no reliability issues.. I'm happy with it pushing 35's.
It's either 2K for a bought full aftermarket kit, much less for a surf setup, or wait til you can afford a 1UZ conversion at around 5-6K with more grunt.. and they ...

Retaining brake lines
Hi all. Just wondering what people have done as far as retaining their extended brake lines? I haven't had a problem with mine since i've had them on (~1yr) but somehow my front pass. side managed to get caught up on the tyre and shredded it.. :? Have had a search and a look around the web but can't ...
