Can someone please tell me what type of valve stem seals the Sierra 8v G13ba motor has in it. Are they rubber or pressfit steel?

Like do i have to take the head off again or can i sneak a rubber one in?? :?

yes - agreed 100% - i'm currently pulling mine to bits and turning it back into a stock machine. No challenge to getting anywhere anymore so i'm going back to little wheels, no lift and all performance parts out.

well i found a supplier of pistons that actually seemed to know what they were talking about and they reckon the flat-tops are now obsolete

but they can get me a complete set of dish top pistons and rings for $150 which is cheaper than suzuki can get me one piston and set of rings

im unsure of whether its possible on the front coilover setup of a coilly sierra. if you are still running the standard tube upper mounts they will not allow much tolerance for axle repositioning. they are called a seal protector, and they locate the axle when you are installing it as not to damage the seal.

braden, i would suggest that you can get what you want from your rig and only spend around $2-3k i would suggest you get a rockhopper, this will get your revs up and make it a lot better for towing. (about $1-1.5k) get a spring and shock package, OME seems to get a good word from most. (probably ...

jimny springs are 75mm ID at top and 82.5mm dia at bottom only other suzuki spring that will fit in is the original vitara rears, with 80mm ID top and same bottom. they'll probably give about 50mm lift, but the original jimny aren't the same left to right so you won't sit too level. cheers lester

Re: Tyres

The MTR has a silica compound which probably makes it stop better on the road in the wet wouldn't it? Hows a B.F.G mud on wet roads? the silica compound is actually harder than rubber, they put it in there to stop them wearing so fast, and allows them to put a softer rubber in the matrix - i.e. it ...
