sound like you bent the axel housing not the axels. I bannanad one pretty good once, I couldnt get the axels out without a winch and an axe, Get a new housing, and weld in a brace. You shouldnt blow holes unless yove got way too much power set on your welder. Then just transfer the third member ...

I belive you you just need the flanges and sierra case, jackshaft and mounts. Apparently Off Road Armoury and DG Tuning do a kit for the VSS.

by all reports they used to say any modification voids the warrenty, but apparently dealers have lost too many court cases, the outcome of which was that the modification had to directly effect the item which was faulty. Like fitting headers wont damage the engine or suspension, but fitting a turbo ...

yeah, in the coliys the widscreen doesnt fold down, makes it a much much bigger job. but all you need is some time and the manual and its not hard to take out the dash.

You probably should have mentioned the lockright in the first post.. This would be normal behaviour with it installed, but seing as its come out it could be that when you pulled out the locker the backlash wasnt setup right or maybe you didnt re-install the shims on the outside of the side gears ...
