add a tube of nulon g70 this stuff works great i did over 50ks with no oil in the diff was all good when i pulled it out put back in and have done over 200,000 since same diff

they come from the early cruiser's up to 74-76
engine mostly F but you will find them behind 2F
are you looking for one ?
its to easy to bolt in 4speed

check the steering shaft to box myn did it to find out latter that all it was , just the spline bolt came loose easy fix

you can also do an easy look at it by taking out the starter and you can see the thickness of the plate by rotating the fly untilll you can see the plate through the gap

good fresh oil dont go a heavy grade and use some nulon g70 additive works a treat makes the box n trans quiet n smooth

ive never used anything apart from a seal washer you can get them from most auto stores in many sizes for around a dollar in either soft alloy or fiber type

plumbers tape is :bad-words: not good at all for that and messy when you undo it again

color codes
LW light blue /white trace
LR light blue / red trace
LB light blue / black trace
L light blue
LY light blue / Yellow trace
WB white / black trace

The E or earth on the motor is just it bolted to the body

silicone dont corrode or go hard like rubber and look at treat
there easy to work with also dont vacum crush like rubber
been using silicone for years never had an issue and they still look like new

they can be tight to get on the 1st time
can also handle alot higher temps and pressure
