Thanks all for suggestions. Checked the radiator, and it was original. Also found evidence of overheating problems. The evidence was ... lots of receipts for dealing with overheating ... but none for solving the problem. Apart from overheating, I also believe the engine was low in power. Running ...

Loanrangie - you're right ... maxi's. The box is Auto ... but I have a strong feeling it isn't standard. I'll have to get underneath and try and figure out what is going on (the seller doesn't have a clue). Regards.
