Hilux Dilemna

I have a set of custom length Gq arms, that are just the right size for my Hilux coil conversion, obviously the 4 runner mounts are to big, Wondering do I just get the 80 arms and bushes I have lengthened, or make a bush up so that I can fit the GQ arms, I notice everyone using Nissan bushes over ...

X-Over steer probs

Wondering if someone could help diagnose this problem, have set up X over on LN106 lux, steering box is pretty much as far forward as I could get it, 70 series pitman arm, 60 tie rod, to superior flipped arm.

When I steer the car if I steer to the right it pushes one side of the car up, and to the ...

converting 4 runner hand brake to a hilux

Anyone done this, finished coils and was wondering what needs to be done to set the handbrake cable up. haven't had time to look at a 4 runner, or manual to see how they are set up, is being fitted to a 92 LN106, diff was from a 96 4 runner I think.

If your worried about onroad, V6 commo is my option for my Lux, I've got a CT20 on my 3L, with 230K on the clock, goes well, but wish I'd spent the money towards going V6, or other option is 2.7 petty like Beebee and 83 Lux did, will certainly give more bang for your buck,

My work ute goes just about as many places as my Lux, A Ford courier IFS, 29 A/T's, although it does have the IDGAF advantage.

I'm going lockers, I've gotten further with A/T's on some tracks than with boggers, and only rear locker.

I had mine up to 8" lift at one stage, way unstable, and less effective have ripped most of that out and am replacing with wider diffs, My lux worked best when it had no body lift 2" extended shackles, it ran 33's no probs, and was still a good DD, now it's a peice of crap to drive.

Not for me to say but I think it's his DD as well, would be pretty harsh drivin round with welded diff all the time, welded diffs are great, we've destroyed many a rally car and the welded diff has held up, but a mini spool will give desired result, and still keep a capable DD.

Whilst not the wheel bearings, same seller also had hilux centre bearings, I bought 3 centre bearings $30 each, which is 3 for the best price I could get from repco for 1, had one in for 7 months, and still like new. :D.
