It will prolly have a quadtrac.. which is vacuum operated.. Pull the hoses of one at a time.. and see if it sucks to your finger. Else.. it could be the chain slipping/stretched.

reason is jep diffs cost a SH!Tload more than a yota diff. Yota/nissan are more accessable (? ) Tcase could be a NP 208 or NV241.. Depends oin what info I can get. Other option is FJ early or GQ Tcase. ORI have done that to a hilux diff.. under a pajero! FJ diffs are "apparently" bolt on to a CJ ...

If i get the old style diff with an inspetion plate, and do the cut and rotate thing, Will the castor be correct with the housing upside down (flipped over, no inspection plate, or backwards With plate.. depends on the diff i guess) Are ...
