Hey Shane, check your engine mounts very carefully, if you have to use a big pry bar use it, mine was unnoticable untill i took the engine out and then it fell apart. Black magic fans from flex-a-lite I reckon are the go. They have an overide switch for in the cabin, and a A/C relay as well.

They have their own cowling and bolt into the origianl cowling mountig holes (and not through the core and fins like many others). There is a specific one made for a hilux ...

have a hilux with a v6 slipping out of low 4 only also it has a twicsting noise when taking of quick in 2wd suspect it might be the gearbox mount but doesnt look dammaged or worn low 4x4 has a whine suspected bearing in tf case but not sure whine is not present in hight 4x4 or 2wd any thoughts ...

Take it off the box and plug it in. Im guessing it would be some sort of position switch/contactor.

ALL FIXED it was i wire snapped under the main fuse box i would like to sincerly thank everyone that took the time to try and diagnose this issue and i will make every effort the continue to help other from this site :D im very knowlageable with the 80 series landruiser amd know them back to front ...

checked fuel pressure changed pdi moduel and CAS coils aswell i am going to reemove car alarm aswell see if i can iliminate imobilisation any one else got any idears this is doing me head in

i Know its late but check these things anyway
=check the wiring into the back of the coil pack
=i'm assuming you have checked the fuel pressure if not check that
=check the efi relay (i.e. swap it with another to see if it has shi# itself)
=early modle vn motors sometimes pack up all coils packs ...

i had similar problems with my vn comode, you will find you will probly be able to start it the ext day but it will play up. check the plug into the dfi module for starters thats what your coil pack sits on. if there is no visible problem it might be the dfi module like with mine, take the coils of ...

not crank angle sensor changed t the harmonic ballancer was n its way out changed that too GRRRR on the bright side the front main seal was in need of change :roll:

10 mm or 122 mm metric fine thread bolt in the center of shaft end theer is a thread shove the bolt finger tight in there and pull towards you this will pull cv towards you and give you enough room to get clip on make sure clip has not been overstreched or it will come off on road

My lux had a high K motor and leaked from the heater pipe into the manifold, had almost no coolant in the whole system and the rad cap was shagged and with aircon on never over heated. Have you acutally confirmed that either radiator you had fitted is clean and not clogged with a few hundred thousand km's of crap? What radiator do you have, have you bled any air from the system. Every man and his dog with a como motor in a hilux has the same problem, half would be busted arse motors, others need better radiators, different diff gears brings over revving and/or constantly loading the motor creating heat
