thanks guys to all the suggestions got it all solved. i got a damaged tail shaft out of a 4.2TD knocked the flange of the end, fitted new uni's, and put it all back together. Then i was able to turn the shaft around.

well with the sway bars connected it sits about 2mm off but I still have 2 inch's of travel left in the shocks so yeah it will be well and truly hitting.

99 patrol tail shaft issues

Hey guys i lifted my 4.5ltr GU patrol the other day i went to turn the tail shaft around but found that the end going to the diff flange has a big ring around it with a weight, what to do now? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

nah its not on lpg. yeah the lifters have all be adjusted at 100k. yeah i have been told by heaps of people they are strong just double checking haha. 140k is still low right i mean the drive line on patrols go forever?

99 4.5ltr patrol problems

Hi guys i had a quick look on hear for another similar post but couldnt find anything. Just a quick question i am looking at buying a 4.5ltr petrol patrol with 141,000k's on it is there anything that actually goes wrong with these engines besides not very good fuel economy?
