Re: De Tomaso Engines
Flywheel on DeTomaso is suited to a smaller clutch diameter than Feroza, possibly meant for Charade, so hope to use Feroza flywheel, is there some benefit in keeping the DeTomaso dizzy? Sump & oil pickup do look a bit different, will change sump etc. Read in some notes that there could be 2 ...

Re: De Tomaso Engines
Is the DeTomaso sump any different from an Applause or Feroza? I can imagine them being a little different, being a FWD compared to a 4WD, but would really look forward to some replies on this issue. Maybe a Forum member who has fitted one of these engines into a Feroza will be able to tell me more ...

Re: Do Feroza motors recover from serious overheating???
Checked out that overheated engine, it starts ok, haven't replaced head gasket, radiator seemed to be main problem, had core cleared & tanks resoldered, replaced idler pulley bearing, all new belts, new coolant etc. Engine run fine at below 2000 revs, no smoke or steam, all seemed ok, then after 20 ...

Seen a few of what I considered to be De Tomaso engines in Ferozas, engines with dark grey rocker cover & red print, looks like a few were transplanted by workshops as just Jap import Feroza engines, I have seen at least 4 already, one was a farm vehicle and owner had never noticed performance ...

Weird thing, doesn't happen always, seems to miss as if on 3 cylinders, leads are ok, plugs are new, coil and dizzi cap changed. Can start it and runs great, go to put the foot down sometimes and it happens, may not happen, for half day, then as I select a gear down it may flutter & miss, whilst ...

Hi' ferozamaniac Great news, I would really like to fit those circlips with the holes however I have not been able to find such a circlip that is thick enough to replace the Feroza one, many suppliers have suggested that I fit 2 of the thinner circlips with holes together so that they fill circlip ...

Only prob is before they order part down this way they gotta look at car prior to ordering parts, my 90 EL111, 91 EL111 & 89 DX are all being done, one of them wasn't even registered but that's ok with them, so find a Farm Bomb or Bush Basher and they may fix it too. Hi again, today we replaced both front disk brake rotors on EL111, all went ok however I remain concerned about those front hubs, I found diagrams about hub regions in F300-FS-Front_Axle_and_Suspension.pdf which I downloaded recently. We were very cautious re-installing the hub components, could not ...
