you can get a go fast ratio set for the 406's pretty $$$$$ though, you'd be better off grafting a different centre into them

Yeah my mate got told for $6000 he could have the 12ht a rebuilt one

so if he was to go a 1hz what would be a reasonable price for a 1hz or 1hz turbo

would the conversion be as simple as engine, gearbox, transfer new engine mounts possibly gearbox mounts new radiator and exhaust?

hey guys a mate of mine has a 2H on his 75 series the time has come to either rebuild the 2H or put in a newer engine 1hz? at the moment he doesnt need alot of power but in time he will be pulling a horse float he said he wants to spend maximum $6000

what you guys recommend?

guys i have both cv's for sale atm in the drive train section yuri's and cals check them out

in saying that it will still work with out it but as i understand the standard GQ auto won't be up to the task it might be ok if you adapt the tps to the 5.0L i think the tps controls the oil pressure as well as when it changes but i ran my auto with out it and blew the auto up with in 500kms its ...

yes for the Gq auto to work properly you need to keep the tps and adapt it to the 5.0L or your pedal

this is right i know a GU ute cab will bolt straight up to a GQ chassis i was under the impression that a GQ and GU chassis are the same

wasn't a hard job the crown wheel held up only broke when i broke a axle and axle parts got in the centre

so it was strong enough to break a axle before a centre

yep can be done there was a thread a little while ago about it, i personally did it by using a front diff and using the rear locker

on mine it missed the steering box by about 5mm i made a new bracket for it then it missed it by 50mm
