Re: 75 series front recovery points

The badge on the grill says Chevrolet, and the grill/indicators are just from eBay, they are listed on there all the time pretty much. Should be around 170-180 for both the grill and indicators. The grill won't include a badge and it is a bit of a funny size from my experience trying to source one ...

75 series front recovery points

I've been searching around and cant find anything on this.

I have to attach/manufacture some kind of recovery point for the front of my 75 series ute. Just want to see pics of what others have done. I am not running a bull bar, only a factory chrome bumper.

Re: Upgrading wiring to the starter???

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I am of the understanding that a starter motor is wired directly to your battery, with it's switchgear integrated in to the starter. So the only real upgrade you can make to the wiring is to replace this cable with a larger gauge. This will help with voltage drop to the ...

FJ75 Tailshafts

I am currently converting my FJ75 ute back to sprung under to keep the popo happy. I have hit a snag with the tailshafts now though, they are now too long as I have replaced the custom spring packs with an EFS 80mm lift kit. What is my best option here? Should I get them shortened and about how much ...

Tough Dog and Rockcrawler Springs

I'm looking around for some new springs for my 75 at the moment and have noticed that the Tough Dog and Rockcrawler springs look to be the same spring with different stickers. I'm leaning towards EFS but was just curious about this. Anyone know if they are the same?

A short in the element lowering resistance, increasing current flow and subsequently increasing heat produced? Not even sure if that is possible with that style of element, but with any normal wound element that is what I would put it down too, and lots of heat introduced to cold glass is never good ...

I have already had the trims made and they cost a bit of cash so I really don't want to fark em. I am thinking a handle that possibly has more length to the spline receiver part and then some kind of plastic washer or something that stops the winder from cutting the vinyl...but it has to look pretty ...

And when prying the trim off make sure you are prying at the retainers.

In the toyota manual they suggest using a cloth to remove the retainer clip. Slide the cloth behind the winder and shimmy the clip off.

Cruiser Window Winders

Got some new door trims made for my 75 series cruiser and now have a little problem. The sheet and foam used for the new trims is much thicker than the factory trims, so now i can't use the 75 series windows winder handles, unless I am willing to let them cut a nice big hole in my new vinyl.

Any ...

Idle Revs on Turbo 2.8 Lux

Put a turbo on my 3L a little while back, and after being tuned by Diesel Care it now revs at around 1100rpm on idle, where it used to be about 750. Just want to know if there is any harm in knockin it back to about 750 again?
