Suppose a request for an intro is a fair call.

Name is Mike and just relocated from Perth to Sydney. Not being familiar with people and places in N.S.W as such posting on this forum and hoping the nice folks on outerlimits can point me in the right directions.

Need recommendation of a Diesel mechanic/workshop - Sydney

Hi, Can anyone recommend a reliable diesel mechanic/workshop in the Galdesville area that doesn't charge an arm and a leg? It's for a Nissan Patrol TD42T. Truck doesn't seem to drag past the 2400rpm range.... can hear it "wheezing" but the speedometer climbs very slowly past that rev range for all ...

Hi, I am new to Sydney and is in the midst of trying to get a blue slip for a FJ40. It seems the 2F would need a tune and the front brake drums looked into as well. Can anyone recommend a reliable workshop in Sydney (Gladesville/Ryde area would be fantastic) that can provide a blue slip and ...

Yup.. the double clutching didn't really help but the reving does.

Thought it would be a cheap fix like changing gear box oil or something. Looks like I will have to live with it till it's time to change the clutches and do up the syncromesh at the same time.

Help... difficult to change down the gear.

1999 GU TD42T

I am facing some problems changing the gear down. In my case, its difficult if not almost impossible to change down to 2nd and 1st gear from 3rd upwards unless the speed has been sufficiently reduced. Any ideas anyone?

GU (TD42T) Oil Filter question.

Rang up Nissan and apparently the 1999 TD42T uses 2 different oil filters. Was wondering if anyone might know the part number for each of the Oil filters and which one is placed forward (nearer to bull bar) and which is back.

Nissan wants to sell them for $26 and $41.70 respectively.....
