i look at my guards and its 1 piece, looks kinda different to yours, so i dont get how its raised... hmm

1hz would be the cheapest option mate. if u were about 3 weeks earlier i had my fully rebuilt 1hz for sale. i wouldnt go for a 1hdfte only because of wiring and all that fuss. 1hdft 24 valve would be my choice no electrics.. but again dear as poison.

not much fuss if you have a loom that plugs in ...

how did you raise the inner guards 60mm?

also one downfall i see is that the flatter springs make the shackle end stick out more which is more likely to hit rocks hmm

would you say 60 series rear main and wrap leaves with the current front pack (minus the wrap and main ofcourse) be a good idea?

i wish someone would do a how to on spring disassembly, heard if they're not clamped they can explode or something?

when i first looked up the castrol site and saw it said GL5 after reading GL4 in my manual, this confused me, and that is what got me to do my research.

from experience of my own and from the recommendations of many others, i would recommend VMX-M for the gearbox/transfer, EPX 80w-90 for the front ...

if you look in the toyota manual it specifies GL-4...

and you can google 'GL4 vs GL5', you'll get PLENTY of results detailing why you shouldnt put GL5 into a GL4 box

GL5 has sulphur oxide or something, cant remember the details.

also if you google and ask what gearbox oil to use on this site or ...

you dont run GL-5 oils in the gearbox/transfer

GL-5 has a chemical in it that eats away at the copper synchros in the gearbox

when i got my 75 from dad the mine mechanic through GL-5 in, the box was clunky and hard and the oil when drained was awful!

redid the bullbar, side steps, side bars, snorkel, and rims in subframe enamel gloss black. also made a system so my engel fits behind the cab.

does anyone know if these will fit onto a landcruiser (hzj75) gear box?

product description says 'bolts up to toyota gear driven transfercase', so i'm assuimg it might just work? or not even close...

whats the preferred type of welding method for welding on the recovery points? arc, tig, mig?

did a little research, apparently the k085 diff (this number is also stamped onto my little metal plate in the engine bay) represents the fact the car has a 9.5" diff with LSD in the rear.

anyone else to confirm?

in that case, the only 9.5" diff on the arb website is suited to the rd152 locker ...

that only applies to the rear diff of the hzj75, right? the front diff is 8", yes?

bit confused though, on the arb website for air lockers it says that the locker for my rear diff is a rd142, and it says that an rd142 is for the toyota 8.9" diff?

so yeah, what gives? my hzj75 was built in late 97 ...
