im rebuilding a 1hz engine and cant find out if i have replace the main bearing cap bolts, one bloke has said i have to coz there a +90 bolt but i rang 8 places today to locate some and nobody carries them except toyota[@$14+ each] most just say never been asked for them or there not even in the ...

its a hzj 75 troopy 91 model ive taken the rear lsd out and replaced it ith a 60 series open centre with a lockright, the front is a high pinion which ill take out next , but that is the same diameter as the back not a small diff,

thanks for all the advise its been a great help, just pulling the spider gears out of the 60 series diff to install a lock right ,question is theres 2 shim/ spacers on the large spiders the ones the axles go into ,should i be reusing these on the lockright??????

can i put a 60 series rear centre into a 75 series troopy front diff and the 75 series front centre inthe back?????[91 model] i am contemplating doing this as i am thinking of putting auto lockers in the front and back[or the 60s diff in the rear ]sounds confusing any help appreciated,cheers mick

replaced my exhaust manifold when i did turbo sprayed with lots of inox when hot and then when they cooled down all came out the next day easily so easy they actually came out of the head before the nuts came loose

very interesting thread ive just finished my turbo project [gt2876r] the turbo has 4" inlet ive reduced this to 3"then its down to 2 3/4" on the airbox i disconnected it last night from the airbox so straight 3" and it didnt seem to make a lot of difference,still needs to be run up on a dyno seems ...

the probe is after the turbo, 100ks 5lbs boost under 200c just cruising in 5th flat out in 4th up hill 9lb boost just hits 500c,excellerating at a good pace from lights in 3rd,4thand 5th hangs around 400c does this sound reasonable

got the exhaust done, all gauges working,, excellerate up long hill 400 deg c @around 8 pounds of boost does this sound good???????, any way it runs !!!, ive put about 1/3 turn of fuel into it,maybe have to run it up on dyno

matts adapter is awesome,fits perfectly and finished very very well should have pics of my setup in a cuppla days[standard manifold, matts adapter and gt2876r]
