Some may come from high friction in the completely rebuilt engine. All parts are brandnew, so give it a little time, my 2L-T diesel engine needed 30.000kms after the rebuild to make me feel that this is not completely crap what I did.

That´s only removing the regulator cover, replace the O-Ring and the cover gasket itself. Not more than 1 hour of work for a skilled mechanic, and about 150 EUR max. I have read lots of threads on European bulletin boards where it was only this cover and the two sealings. No need to do any ...

Cool rig, mate. I think, prices are nearly the same When you guys gonna buy lockers and compressor for 1700 AU$, we can do that, too; for 1700 EUR, of course, or even a bit more It always was a good idea to order directly in Oz. For example, my shocks and spring coils for the bundera were that weak ...

no unfortunately I´m afraid we took no pics, it was more than five years ago when he sold his LN 65. He was often searching for some pics of the best Hilux he ever had, but never found one... Now he has a 1992 LN105 with solid axles in front and rear and the newer 2L-diesel. The engine is stock, but ...

eliteforce32, good question...i don´t know, most dieselcracks over here in my place recommend one if an intercooler is planned to be installed. But this is mainly for the older 2L-T engines, as the newer ones are much more durable!!! There are special oil dipsticks available with temp. sensor, such ...

yea I know; have to do something for more punch cos the engine in my bundy is still stock. My prob is that I have the older version of 2L-T (from 1987) and tis is far less durable than the newer engines. Have to make a slightly power otimizing taking good care for oil and water cooling and have to ...

We do not know, but we estimated that it had around 100kW The engine was the original L-type diesel from ...

sorry, as I´m a newbie here, I don´t know if this is already linked somewhere over here:

http://www.birfield.com/~morgan/tech/axle/

good description, but he´s writing that he did remove the cone washers with a chisel and a hammer - and that the brass drift method is much better.

It´s a SWB with 2,300mm wheelbase, maybe the 1HZ or any petrol engine. Seems to have aftermarket springs, bodylift, tires, front bumper, fender widenings and some more. In Europe, you would pay for that fun about 4,000 b€cks, maybe up to 6,000. In Oz you´d pay the same (or less)in Australian Dollars ...

I have a 17 years old LJ73 which sometimes makes the same trouble as you described it above. It especially happens, when air humidity is high, and some folks from here believe to know that the fuel sensor makes some ground shortage. It also could be the radiator coolant sensor, or both of it ...
