Re: I know your answer allready ........ BUT .....

I just wouldnt go for a 2.6 as they use a lot of fuel for nothing in return, V6 is far better. There is thousands of Pajero V6's out there, with age, kms and percent out there I would expect to hear about blown head gaskets, more likely the higher percentage is caused by poor maintenance (easier to ...

Re: I know your answer allready ........ BUT .....

Can I ask why you ever got rid of a Patrol V8  I am going looking for details about it, if it was originally based on a GQ 4.2 it should have been a weapon you would never want to get rid of, getting rid of a cruiser I can understand, especially if you drive through a lot of mud and drive like ...

Re: I know your answer allready ........ BUT .....

I own a 24V SOHC 6G72 3.0L Delica, I know that engine is also fitted to Triton, Challenger, overseas Pajero, Magna and probably a heap more. The engine was actually built in Australia and sent to Japan for all models using it, it does not have many issues, I have not heard of many issues with any ...

I just preferred the way the 4 speed felt to drive, more positive gear changes. The 6 speed is a good auto, the short first gear is great for getting off the line quickly, but the gears just slur from one to the next. The 6 speed also has a gear hold function that's preety cool, when you accelerate ...

NL GLS 314mm front brake differences?

It appears it has the same calliper as a standard 276mm front disc NL Pajero, is it just the calliper bracket that allows it to fit or is it a upright difference.

I will ask the same question on Delica club forum and any Mitsubishi forum I can join easy enough etc

Thanks in advance.

If there is a prime solenoid in the gas system (intended to make cold starts easier), it may be set up without a thermal switch, meaning that it primes and floods when warm. I agree with Athol here, plus it might be running to rich, fine for when it is cold, depending on the system some basic LPG ...

Although I preferred the earlier 4 speed auto to the 6 speed that you would have. Curious why you prefer the BW auto over the ZF, not that I really hate the BW, it is an underrated auto, one thing they did make a big mistake with is the 2.4 first gear, if they chose something between GMH's T700 3 ...

I can understand the idea of a V6 engine, they are cheap and easy to find, just go fishing and pull up a buoy chain, you are likely to find one. Cheap and as much as I am not a Chev fan (I am Ford bias), you can not go past a V8 Chev diesel, I don't think there is another cheaper diesel to ...

I thought about doing a live axle front, I am not the only Deli owner who has, but if I was to do it, I would dump a Deli SWB on a 4.2L GQ Patrol LWB chassis and driveline using a Chev diesel V8(cheap), as it has a close wheel base size and its strength over pos Landbruisers.
