Hi all,
Looking at giving my old SWB 90 model Patol a new lease on life. Its unregistered atm and needs some work including new suspension including springs, shocks, bushes, etc etc.
Have looked at a whole heap of brands and all 50mm lifts, including:
Superior Engineering, TJM, Old Man Emu (ARB ...

Re: Can Trailer Brakes be fitted to trailer and not in cab (
Cheers for the advice!
It is pretty unclear.
ADR 38 - which is national - states that the trailer brakes need to be adjustable and operable from the drivers seat - I interpret this as a control must be in cab.

Can Trailer Brakes be fitted to trailer and not in cab (QLD)
Hi all,
After some advice on trailer brakes in QLD. I'm in the market for a camper trailer and some of the models we're looking at exceed 750kg GVM which triggers the requirement for trailer brakes. All trailers above 750kg GVM i've looked at require an in car controller. My catch is I have a work ...

How much ???`
Hi all,
I've got an old GQ patrol 1990 model thats been sitting about for awhile. The brakes barely pull it up, and being four wheel disc this probably souldn't be.
I'm guessing the calipers are seized so I'm wondering how much it might cost to get fixed?
Also, is it relatively easy to do ...

Re: Shell Spirax A
I didn't know there were different types of the MT90. It has been in there for a couple of years now and it has improved the shifting for sure.

Replacing wiper motor
G'day all,
Might have an opportunity at a cheap 95/96 sierra two door softtop.
Apparently the wiper motor is dead and needs replacing. Apparently the owner was quoted $1k as the dash needs to be removed/replaced to do the job. Is this correct? If so, how hard it it? Surely a suk is that simple ...

I'm lucky enough to find myself in the position of having to choose between these two supplied by work. WHich would you choose mostly for sand, touriing and easy bush work.
I've already discounted the navara D40 as the ones i've seen plough their way through sand and the colorado as it feels ...

'Wind up' is the result when both diffs are locked by the transfer case and the different axles etc spin at a different rate. There is no 'give' or slipping in the transfer case and hence wind up. This happens when the front and rear diffs travel different distances and this can result when tyres ...
