Re: 105 series front axle

Long fields fit into 105s perfect. I suggest you put a locker in, treated diff gears if going higher ratio then a solid spacer and set of longs. You will struggle to bust a front diff after that.

Re: Cruiser 105 dash lights coming on

spray it with some electrical spray might be enough to get it going again until you put new one in, it might also help it work for a few minutes for you to see the dash lights go out and confirm the issue.

I stripped down the transfer over weekend and running new bearings seals through it! They all seemed in good condition expect the rear output one but ...

Re: How can I modify 1HD FTE engine for better fuel consumpt

I have just bought the car. 100 series , auto, ex japan , 2000 model. There is no service history. Vehicles come here into Kenya from japan and speedo are usually wound back. The vehicle has been here a few years and serviced in various garages with no history. It does about 8KM x liter. What mods ...

I came across this, and it Is possible a few early 100 series, up until 2000, had the 6 studs from factory. News to me but it must have some truth to It .

Too easy mate looks easy enough to do, I'm guessing there is no set amount to port out? as much as possible providing I can get it sealed again with what ever I use as the new lid, and without making any wall thicknesses too thin.

Cheers mate some good pointers there. You cleared up a few issues. Couple of Qs. The barrel coolers, what's the reasoning for been no good, is there another water to air set up I should go for or am I not gaining any great benefit to worry about a water to air and just go with air to air. Thanks mate I just found that out today also about the flange, I have also found out the internal wastegate turbos are a bit longer and the dump pipe might interfere with the firewall with a high mount. Has it had a constant 4wd conversion. is there a button on the dash for centre diff lock. you said the prop shaft stays still, if this is so the transfer case is not engaged. this would make sense if the constant conversion was done. If there is a button on the dash push it and see if the transfer ...

The hungys have plenty of guard clearance and room for bigger tires with minimal lift. I have run up to 7" lift on mine with 38s. IT was too big to be enjoyable to drive at that height. BEst advice I can give is don't go over about 4" lift. You can still run 36s with that lift and minimal rubbing on ...
