Re: Z24 to TD27T Conversion
I have a D21 which has had the 2.7 diesel removed and a td27 fitted. It's a good ute but because the td27 doesn't rev as high as the naturally aspirated diesel, my highway gearing is no good. You might not encounter this as badly because the petrol diffs are 4.625:1 where my diesel diffs are 4.875:1 ...

Re: fibreglass 40 series project
cheers for the input, my tub is an oz-east one. It needs a bit of love but its not beyond repair. I got 2 Dellow bell housings with the car, I need to remove the gearbox and find out if one is turbo pattern and one is Trimatic. I spoke to mark's but they said they don't to bj gearbox kits anymore ...

Re: Grand Vitara Rim retrofit
Looks awesome mate, I imagine the 5 and 10 spoke gv rims would be similar in shape except for the pattern, (clearances etc). Were they difficult to source?

Grand Vitara Rim retrofit
Has anybody tried fitting 2005 grand Vitara rims (16x7 alloy 10 spoke) to a Sierra or Lada Niva? they all share the (5x139.7) stud pattern as far as I can tell? being a larger rim than the original sierra or Niva rim I imagine they will clear the disc brake assembly.. Any feedback appreciated ...

shorty 40 with holden 253 and 'BJ 5 speed?' box
I have a 40 series cruiser with a Holden 253 and a 5 speed box. It wont go into 5th (just grinds). The box looks the same as a mates Bundera, it looks like a steel 4 speed box with a 5th gear section added in before the transfer case. I'm wondering if this is a popular conversion? Are there many ...
