Hey guys.. I'm with 'sneaky'...

Mines an 89 GQ Auto, with a 90+litre tank, and I only get 350 - 450k's max out of a tank.

Although I will add that installing a snorkel and the manual lock up controller has helped a bit. Still yet to own an economical car, so I thought it was normal, until now.

That would work... Recently had mine play up too.
I just saved my pocket money for as long as I could, then went and bought a new one from Nissan for $40.00

Don't do it on the cheap... It'll only f#%k out again later...

GO BUY A NEW ONE.

All I gotta say is... NICE BACKYARD!

Best thing I got to flex on in my backyard is the cat.
Already tried once, and I don't think Felix#2 would appreciate it.

Bending steering arms on GQs

Anyone else run into this problem? This is now the second time I've had to bend it straight.

Weld some extra pieces for strength?

Or buy the After Market adjustable one?

ADVICE?

That all sounds like fun...

But I'd just stick my head under and have a look.
Most LSD's are marked accordingly so people will use the right oil to service them.

I've got the full Workshop Service Manual for the GQ's.. The ETC unit ( transmission computer) is behind the kick panel in the passenger footwell. As I said, I have to test it yet, but as far as I can tell, if you provide power to the wire that runs to your lock up soleniod, it will lock ...

Re: Lock-up Controller...

Why do they cost so much??? Looks to me like nothing more than a switch, a relay and some wire... :2gunfire:

Think I'll just find it myself...

I'd be up for one too if the price was right. Are they difficult to fit?
