I had a welded fron't and rear in my 90 model lux, sure it chews tires and puts pressure on axles and wheel bearings, but you no its locked not like some other types, drove mine every day the only problem i found is when your doing a cross slope in mud, just wanted to slide down, which is fixed ...

i tore a 2" hole in the side of my 33" wrangler, my mate at the local beaurepaires volcanised it, i ran it for ages it now on my mates lux, gets the pressure dropped alll the time and still sweet as!!!

I own a 90 model single cab with 2" leaves 2" body with the front axle moved forward about 1 1/2" forward running 35" mtrs, works awesome. any more height and it would have been smashed ages ago :)

lux is 90 model diesel 2.8, these diffs aren't factory lux ones, bought them from wrecker in vic, didn't ask what they were out of. Definatly 5.1 sorry 5.125, 41 crown teeth 8 pinion =5.125

just wondering if any one can tell me what 5.1 ratio's are found in, i pulled my front centre out for welding and found the tips of three teeth on the crown missing, was keen to wheel over X-mas so any advise would be good.I originally bought them from a Wrecker but didn,t ask what they were out of ...

i am running 35's, 2" spring, 2" body lift with my front axle moved 1 1/2" forward on spring perch. heaps of flex and only just scrubs occasionally. i have some guards with 2" cut out of them all the way around. figure i might fit some 37's :lol:

'90 hilux 2.8D running 35's Question 1 i have 2" lifted rear springs with the helpers removed and extended shackles, spring clamps removed. On full comperession the tire rubs hard on the chassis limiting flex, even with 33's still rubs. What are my options to solve this problem? What does everyone ...

my brother works at Repco where they supply iron man, I installed a full set to my lux, within six months i had destroyed the lot. replaced them with some carrols and havn't had a problem. Tumut Toyota supply a carrols kit including spings, shocks, U-bolts and shackles for about $1300, far better ...

The diffs only cost me $250 For two. so I'm not to concerned, Just need to be locked :) I have the plates cut out and shaped to go into the gears, Tricky little bit to get right, just need to find some time to weld them in. I will post some pics when there done.

yeah mines out too broke the bracket off the housing first, had it repaired, then broke chassis end 2 months later. left it out only time i really notice it on road is when i jump on the brakes a high speed.
