I once did exactly what you are talking about, was tossing up between rebuilding the existing turbo 2H, or dropping in the 12ht.
I went the 12ht and never looked back.

What are peoples thoughts on running 2 different tread patterns.
As I have 3 Wrangler MTR's of the old tread pattern, so anything new is going to be a different pattern. So I am thinking about just getting 2 more Coopers.
On the other hand if someone has 2 Wrangler MTR's they want to let go, let ...

I had been thinking about doing the same thing with mine,
What are you using to regulate the low pressure air.
I was thinking about only putting about 10kPa, that will keep the water out down to about 1m under water.

I recently did the part time kit on my IFS 100 series, fixed the clunk but no improvement in fuel economy.
I didn't believe that it would anyway but just good to confirm it.

What vehicle does a Sanden SD505 come out of as I am looking for one for a air system.
Before anyone asks, I need either the SD505 or the SD5H09 due to the fact that they are only about 160 mm in length.
Cheers

Wouldn't a Direct injection also require custom pistons, as doesn't it need a swirl pot incorporated into them.
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought there was a fair bit of thought that actually goes into the swirl pot design as opposed to just sticking a hole in the top of the piston.

I am pretty sure it has been that for a while now.
Great thread though, DI TD42 is a great idea, something Nissan should have done years ago.

Just out of interest what is the most amount of power that people have been able to get out of a TD42, and run it all day everyday, i.e. as a daily driver.

The fact that your problem does not happen when cold or at high revs when hot is pretty much a dead giveaway to low oil pressure. May need a new oil pump.
I had been thinking the same thing, could even be a sticky oil pressure regulator. As I agree that would explain the symptoms. Shouldn't the ...

The wifes Barina has been tapping for some time now and I was always pretty sure it was tappets, it only does it when it is warm and when you lift the revs the noise goes away, I have also had the injectors checked and they are fine.
I pulled out the tappets today to try to figure out which one/s ...

slight mistake there, you have 40mm of h20, Hg is mercury and I am pretty sure that looks like water in the tube.
1mm of water is worth less than 0.1mm of mercury.
I am very impressed that someone else has actually taken a measurement, I hadn't gotten around to doing the same thing.

Is it possible to get the ABS working if the SAS is done, obviously wheel speed sensors will have to be used some how.
What about using a patrol diff up front, they run ABS and are part time 4x4?

There is definantly a wire on the wipers that is ignition, (as my 60s the wipers only work when the ignition on). Wiper motor is fed from both the stalk on the steering wheel and from constant ingition, that way when you turn the wipers off when they are half way through their motion they still ...

yep.
Is the ABS system the same on the 100 as the 105. As in do they both take a wheel speed reading from the same place on the front wheel or is the IFS front different?

I am thinking about upgrading my 60s to something a lot newer and more comfortable. I would like a factory turbo diesel 100s with a solid front axle, but they never made them. How many people have done a SAS on a 100s and can you give some feedback on what you think of it now.
Cheers.
