Is there an auto locker available for the front ala 'lokka' ?

My td42 NA was around 14l/100km... and it didn't change much when I threw a turbo on it. Generally hovered between 13 - 14l / 100km. I Am currently rebuilding the thing but don't expect it to change.

In a typical driveshaft setup (ie; two uni's) the two outputs must be parallel to alleviate vibrations. As you have mentioned in a lifted vehicle the operating angle of the driveshaft may be too steep which will cause driveline vibrations. You can try to get around this be using raised engine mounts ...

This may seem like a silly question but is your turbo a hi mount..

For a hi mount setup I had no problems using a t piece into the side of the block for oil return. It saved some effort but I still think the sump is a more elegant approach...

If you're willing to travel to kempsey/fredrickton.. Julius performance custom fabbed up a full turbo kit for my old mans shorty td42 for a little over 2 grand.. drive in/ drive away. They made a complete manifold and piece together all the goodies, it's a highmount kit like the turbo glide unit so ...

The factory solenoid on the passenger side fire wall that engages the diff lock is not all that good. If it gets a bit of use it is worth his while sourcing an aftermarket alternative..

I find myself coming back here because I got my shorty back... weird... anyways. Although you might have the transfer and pinion angles parallel or withing 2? degrees, you may find the angle is a bit steep for the U-joint hence the growl... Or maybe your outputs are still out ? You probably shouldn't do it... as it requires you to jack the body up off the chassis a little, put the u bolts in and then the body rests ever so slightly on the top of the u bolt plates. If you have really worn body mounts things might be a bit too tight in there though, like mine was - real ...

If ya can keep it around/under 100kms on 35's with 4.1s, you should in theory use less fuel. But with bigger tyres they like to roll along a bit quicker, so....
