I've even repaired my wife's glasses with my Dremel by reshaping an old set of wings for them, cutting holes in the Cruiser dash, cutting bolts off, slotting threads for screwdrivers I wouldn't be without one.

Penrite HPR is what I use in my 2H. I used to use 15/40 but up here with the temps in summer its way too thin & after a long run the oil light would come on at idle. I plastigauged all the mains and bigends & they were well within tolerance (but I replaced them all anyway). I started using Penrite ...

Although just stop & think a minute I reckon 680kg of pull is better than say two blokes behind a Cruiser pushing. My 2H takes ages to get up the oil pressure up & I reckon if I had the engine management system hooked up it would shut the engine down. However I had a look at the mains & big end bearings a while back & plastigauged them & they were near perfect so I just don't worry about it anymore

I've had a couple of 235 MTR's in the shed for a year & a half I got em with the old HJ47 ute I've got. I've had some real cheap Indian 12 ply rag tyres on the HJ since I got it & when they wore out I bought a couple more MTR's & put them on with the others I already had.

I use Penrite HPR (20-60). I used to get the oil warning light coming on at idle after a long run in 40 degree plus temps when I used a 15-40, it doesn't happen now with the 20-60.
I Plastigauged all the mains & bigends at the time and the clearances were well within specifications. I think those ...

Dim instrument lights

I've got a 1982 40 series. The instrument cluster lights are so dim that I can hardly see the instruments. All the bulbs are OK, they are those little ones in the black plastic holders that go into the circuit board at the back of the cluster. Is there anyway I can get more light :?:
