Re: Allied Savvana Beadlocks

I've got 2 sets, one set runs 33 inch BFG ATs and the other set gets swapped between 37 inch Creepys and 37 inch Michelin XZL's.

The ones running 37's on my ute have been thrashed and the lockring holds up quite well to being run against rock, i've had these ones for about a year and a half.

How often do the beadlock bolts need replacing?

You should really replace them each time you change tyres or take the lock ring off.

Re: Gearbox custom mount

I made this one out of Bisalloy.

It still uses the original mounting holes so i made some sliders for the bolts with high tensile bolts.

Still gained about 25mm clearance.

I made this when i lifted my driveline 50mm

Re: Gu Seat Brackets to allow seat further back?

I've got the same problem in my 03 TI and i'm only 6ft 1'.

I reckon it's the electric seats.

I've also got a 00 gu DX ute and i've got heaps of leg room in it.

Maybe it's worth trying a drivers seat from a ute?

I guess im just lost by the fact that the winch line is only X long, the winch is winding it onto the drum....the line is getting shorter...but the distance from the first snatch block is getting further, the distance from the 1st - 2nd snatch block stays the same....the distance from the 2nd-3rd ...

The back spacing was no good for me though, 4.75" on a 8.5" rim.

Those Allied wheels can be had for $390 each

Hey folks, it's been a while.

Re: Some trick tube radius arms

From looking just at the pics I would have thought that the biggest risk point for bending would be just behind the rear axle mount. There is extra bracing in the cup area and I wouldn't think there would be much force in that area compared to the longer part of the arm.

There are large forces ...

Are you saying the arm twists within itself?

Serg

Yeah sort of, it will flex torsionally along it's length (like a torsion bar), but just between the 2 axle end bushs, or the "cup" area as some call it.

Re: Some trick tube radius arms

I'm not sure that you'd want to resist bending.

Standard radius arms allow some torsional flex through that part of the arm, ie, between the 2 axle end bushs.
The material used in those arms will resist that flex which may cause issues.
