Re: 80 Series Genuine Front Diff Lock Stuck In

I just found someone and got them to give me a hand.

I engaged the centre diff lock because the front and rears won't engage without the centre turned on.

I climbed underneath on the creeper.

I got them to turn the diff locks on and off and I could hear the rear working a dream, but nothing ...

Re: 80 Series Genuine Front Diff Lock Stuck In

one fuse does the entire diff lock control system.

which plug have you reversed 180degrees? there is a two pin plug and a five pin plug. the two pin plug is just for the indicator light

jack the front wheels off the ground, have someone cycle the switch from locked to un-locked while you listen ...

Re: 80 Series Genuine Front Diff Lock Stuck In

Yep I checked that one and it was fine.

On mine, it says 'diff lock' not 'diff locks', so possssssibility it means the centre diff lock, not the front and rears, but I could be wrong.

One link for us, if one fuse does both the front and rear or does all the front and rear and centre, than it ...

80 Series Genuine Front Diff Lock Stuck In

Hi all

I've got a 94 80 Series with genuine front and rear electric diff locks.

The same thing happened to me yesterday that's happened to me before.

Driving through an overgrown track with undergrowth in the middle of the track scraping under my car, I ripped off the plug for the front diff ...

Re: I've lost 20 beadlocks in 9 months

One thing about it everyone

When we pulled them apart and found the puncture in the tube, it was almost always in the same place.

Time and time again, it had a tiny puncture in the tube, the tube was a little damaged around it, we put a patch on it and then next one that let go in that tyre, it ...

Re: I've lost 20 beadlocks in 9 months

Hi everyone

I know it's been a while but I've found the problem and I thought you'd all like to know.

Hopefully if I tell you, the same thing won't happen to you.

I'd had enough of the 4wd mechanic who couldn't fix it.

I did my homework on other mechanics and tyre shops around the place with ...

Official height of an 80 series

Hi everyone

I need to know a few measurements of a standard 80 series.

I want to put on the legal 2 inches of suspension lift you’re allowed in my state, but the tricky thing is after you put an actual 2 inch lift in a spring, for some reason or another, such as the spring being old, it may sag a ...

As ruff said get a new installer, maybe a qualified tire installer not a mechanic! leave the mechanic to mechanical work.
I run them in many comps and the only time a had a real blow outone one only was a double rollover, other than that just a slight bit of inconvenience with dirt getting in ...

In case you're all wondering everyone, it's on a 94 automatic turbo diesel 80 series.

Sorry I should've mentioned that.

From my knowledge of internal beadlocks, they are quite "hit and miss".
I've heard stories of people having nothing but trouble from them, and others who have run them for years and only had minor issues.
I have never run them personally, but I do know people who have. They have had drama's with ...

I've lost 20 beadlocks in 9 months

Hi all

About nine months ago, I bought brand new secondair internal beadlocks for my 285 75 16 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains.

The first couple of months I had them, they didn't miss a beat.

Since then, most trips I go on, I lose a beadlock, sometimes 2. Normally the tube has a puncture and sometimes it ...
