Re: tyre clearence - hilux

I got my high steer from the states. The high steer was around 350$, shipping was around $150. At the same time I got shocks ($150 for the pair), extended brake lines ($70) and a few other goodies so shipping cost wasn't a killer.

Re: Logan 4wd club still doing night runs ?

Outers is not the power house it use to be. If word isnt getting out there then it might pay to advertise it on other forums or set up a facebook group for the club.

I think getting the word out has been the problem. I have been searching for these with no success. Very keen for more!

Re: 'BANANA' shackles legal??????

as mentioned there illegal if there eye to eye is longer. If you do a leaf sas and run them in some states you can get them engineered, but not if the car came out with a specific shackle length

Re: hilux questions

aa mentioned cross over or hi steer.... u will need the whole kit though not just the arms. You will not need a body lift with that spring setup... with ruf ur diff will more forward around 3" which will give u enough clearance from the firewall to run larger tyres

the diff needs to come forward. this will solve ur clearance issues. I had 37's on my old lux with the diff 3" forward due to my rears up front. would fully flex out 12" shocks without scrubbing

he is running rears up front with is 3" forward straight up, but i believe he has also redrilled the perches to gain and extra 1" on top of that. so his diff is 4" forward he is running ifs rears int he back as well, which moves the diff back 1" this gives the MIGHTY 83 a wheel base of 117" (stock ...

that VERY hilux use to run 34" jt2's (which measure more than 34's) without diffs being moved... and either way its not hard to set up a good suspension setup with good flex and the diff position changed (rears up front, ifs rears). i believe 4 runners need abit more work in the rear to fit the ...

if he isn't doing anything to hard BFG All terrains would probable be the way to go, they are pretty quiet on road and fairly decent off road.

if you want something more aggressive either Goodyear MTR's or BFG Mud Terrains

thats just my opinon
