We have a 3.2 bt50 dual cab with a pod at work (electicians)
The gearbox failed at 63k, it has 70k on it now. Last week It wouldnt select low range and it took a while for the diff lock (factory) to release.

How about captivating the coils at each end, ie bolting them to the spring mounts.

If I did that to an off the shelf coil would it be possible to stretch it beyond its capabilities? I have some old 2 inch king spring that came with the ute, next time I am down your way we could stretch them until ...
