Im pretty sure that you dont have to pay any gov taxes on bio diesel if its for personal use only if you intend to sell it to the public. I have looked into it you may find a drop in power on a non turbo motor but with a turbo you will not notice a big drop in power.

If any one is looking for a new head or an injector pump have a look on EBAY TOYOTA SPARES to suit a 2.4 and i think the injector pump is for a 2.8 all new.

these turbo diesels are a whole new ball game to me only ever had petrol how easy are the inter coolers to fit , do i have to play around with the plumbing like make things up or do the come in a kit ??? sorry only new to this but all help will be listened to .

Thanks all , yes it has the pressed rocker cover but i did think toyota would change things they have a habit of doing that pretty regular must get boared in the design room. Im going to the wreckers tomorrow to see if i can geta manifold for the turbo yes its just a toyota standard one . Perry.

Is there any difference in the 2.4 diesel motors in 85 4x4 lux and a 1990 4x2 hilux will this motor bolt up to my 85 5 speed and will the turbo bolt on as i did notice the intake is a little diff so can i swap intakes or what as i can get the 1990 engine at a very good price.

Can anyone help i have a 85 lux extra cab and want to put some better seats in it , something like MONZA and alike they say they have universal bases but will they bolt up to the original hilux rails or does anyone have anyother ideas , i dont want to make them as transport dept is a little funny ...

yeah can fully understand that but i think the main bearings are ok just want to do the rod but if i do take it out may as well do a full rebuild never done a diesel so its a learning curve but i have time on my side.

I dont think you would be able to enforce it i kown it would be a good idea but were do you start. As some 4x4 drive NOT ALL only ever take it off road and thats to the rubbish dump A couple of examples are your wanting a motor bike you are only 18 and they say 250 cc is were you start but you can ...

The motor im thinking of putting in is the 1JZGTE as it was a good fit and wanting to know what sort of box or who has the add kit for a 5 speed lux box the electrical is not a problem as a mate is going to it or if anyone has any sugestions on other engine swaps .

Looking at doing an engine transplant for the old beast but dont know any help would be great as i have seen a twin turbo 2 wheel drive 80 lux and it was a very nice fit but what do i need t like box bellhousing and transfer. would like some info on both conversions need some speed.
