Hi,
Any rover guys got the fixed steel brake lines and brackets and even the calipers if you have them from a late 80's rangie front axle. 1988 etc.
I need the metric twin hose type.
Cheers

diff centre
there is a jig floating around on the eastern seaboard... but not too difficult, I machined up the relative stubs etc, assembled the unit and the axles guide the centre to the desired position, I then used a gasket to mark and then drilled the holes out.
put in the studs etc and your away.

thanks for the feedback..
they are 37" creepy and the irocs are a lot bigger at 42".
It has the power and reduction to turn them and interestingly enough the 42's only weigh 5kg more than the 37's... creepy are pretty heavy.
cheers

donor axle
The vehice is a 1987 and the donor axle if from another 1987.
I told Jac mac this and he made no mention of suitability or not.
I have an earlier set of front hubs and stubs on another front end, will these fit the later swivel balls? If so I will just use the earlier stubs and hubs.
Cheers

Longfields/McNamara front end question
Just pulled down the donor front axle etc and got the diagram Jac Mac sent me for boring the stub axles and inserting the mt12003 toyota bushes. However my stubs are different to those in the diagram as there is a perforated looking bush inserted into the inside of the cv end of the stub already ...

The tojo 5 stud rims are PDC of 150mm, but the Rovers are PCD 165mm, so they are unlikely to fit even if drilled.
Bummer I know!

early-late wheel hubs
Just a quick question.
Is the bolt pattern for the stub axles for the pre 87' rangie and say a mid 90's disco the same?
I know the stub axles are different length and the hubs are different but can I fit the later units to my earlier housings?
Cheers

cost differences
I appreciate that different products that appear to do a similar job will have different costs. It is when the exact same product is a vastly different cost that I get pi$$ed. For example.... 4.6 crank
They can be fitted to a 3.5/3.9, you obviously have to re grind the mains... you could even offset grind the big ends and run the smaller journal rods for even longer stroke....... you would need to possibly do some clearancing in the block and modify the sump but it all can be done... I have done ...

3 link
You can Duncan... no worries.
Safari Gard have done this with their 3 link for rovers for ages....
only problem is puts a lot of force under braking on only the lower arm..
there were a couple of early failures but then they toughened it up.
cheers

I dont think these are the manual type... not the ones with the manual bolt.
if you look at the photo they have the sliding dog just like a maxidrive.
you will need the actuators and will need to modify your existing housings to suit the actuators.
just my 2 cents

yep. I had the same rear locker.. JM in their own cast housing. Just the same as a Hilux centre.
Good price as these are v exe. when new.
you will need actuators etc, but should be good.
nice pick up.
