Re: 3F-E 80 to V8 conversion?
You can put an ls1 in there. It'll be pretty much the exact same swap as what I did as the 3fe has the h150 gearbox like the 1hz. Unbelievable power compared to what your used to and better economy. Not to hard and it'll cost you well under $10g if you do it all yourself.

That's right, straight gas it has to be. I have a twin gas research kit that I want to get rid of as well.Kitika wrote:The 350 chev can't be engineered unless run solely on gas in the 80.

Re: 3F-E 80 to V8 conversion?
I have a complete marks adapters kit to bolt a 350 chev to your A440F auto transmission that is currently in your 3FE 80 series. The kit includes everything that is needed including engine mounts. Also have the marks adapters accessory kit to bolt your Toyota aircon/power steering and alternator to ...

There is no way I would swap my auto for a manual, it is just so easy to drive offroad, obviously the only issue is going down hill however its only $1200 for reduction gears then you would be slower than a standard manual going down hill with all the benefits of the auto. I'm sure it is going to ...

its all depends on the rim offset mate and the width of the rim.
There is no way a 2+2 and 37's will work if the 37 is mounted on a 15" 10" rim and has 5.5" of backspace.... Wont even fit on a 2body and 3-4" spring without a guard chop... Or do you people extend your bump stops 3" for a 3" spring ...

On 37's a 4 inch lift is no good unless you are chopping your guards. 6 inch lift will work but will also require slight guard lippinng on the rear including slightly cutting the rear flares at the top. The front will need the inner guard on the outer most section bent in and also at the front make ...

Cranky is correct. I am going to retract my statement that 6inches is a minimum for 37inch tyres. I have been doing some searching and found multiple people running 37's on 3-4inchs of lift. With 8inch wide wheels on full flex the tyre goes up inside the guard however as I am running 10inch wide ...

I was in the States a couple of weeks ago and saw all these cars at the tourist destinations with what looked like a side ways folded tow hitch mounted on the front, it took me a while to realise that they were the tow cars behind the motorhomes. I took these pics because it looked like a good idea ...

Maybe its time to ask how many people have fitted or have had someone fit ARB lockers and then had the O rings leak. Nearly everyone I speak to has had them leak from the O ring at one time or another, how many people carry a set of o rings in their repair kits when they head for the tracks? I do ...

I dont see how they leak air from improper installtion, you dont need to pull it apart to install it into the 3rd member, wack a crown wheel on it and some bearings and fit it. i found when i pulled my broken one apart it had a square 0 ring as in 4 sided haha (not a square ring), the new kit they ...
