Re: Need more POWER from a 1997 S1 tdi 5 speed Disco

Talk to Ben at APT Fabrications in Brisbane. He has done a a lot of R&D into 300Tdi engines. He can supply upgraded (revised matrix) intercoolers mandral bend straight through exhausts, upgraded turbos and custom snorkels. Ben can also adjust the fuel pump to suit the upgrades. Then your 300Tdi will ...

Re: 300 Tdi 3" exhaust

I run a 2 1/2" madnrel bent system with NO mufflers on my 1998 300TDi Defender 130....and it not overly noisy or do I get any sound resinating through the cabin. I has a really sweet note out the back. 3" is too big in my opinion for a 300TDi unless you use mufflers to help with pressure. Cheers ...

Boronia Tow Bars - Advice needed

Hi All Got a mate who needs a tow bar installed on his 2009/10 D22 Navara style side dual cab ute. One tow bar place has recommended a "Boronia tow bar" as it is 15% cheaper then the Hayman Reece or TAG. Anyone had any issues with Boronia? He will be towing a 5 metre glass boat. Cheers Andrew

I would not recommend a Tregg....mine has a lot of year in after about 5 years. It bangs around quite a bit when the trailer is empty.

I will try and pull it apart this weekend and take some pics.

Best grease for winch rebuild?

Hi all

Putting together a Warn 9,000 that I received in pieces. After cleaning all the rust and old hardened grease off everything, I am ready to rebuild.

What is the best grease to use? Is high temp bearing grease ok?

Warn winch service in Brisbane

Hi all

I just inheritied a milk crate full of bits which I think resembles a Warn 9,000 pound low mount winch.

I need it put back together and serviced.

Is there someone in Brisbane capable of doing this?

I am using bits of the kit...like shock mounts and dislocation cones. If you get your hands on "a 4x4 is born" the kits is used on the build up. One big problem is the rear shock sits out a fair and this limits uptravel of the rear tyres. Dave at Rovacraft in Perth is the Aussie reseller. Give him a ...

Drivers side sill tank wanted

G'day all

I am after a drivers side sill tank to suit a 1986 Rangie.

I looked at LRA's site but at $800, I was a bit shocked.

Are there any alternatives or second hand ones floating around?

Air Compressor Tank Gauge needed

Hi all

I installed a 9 litre tank on the weekend but I need a gauge in the cab so I can monitor the pressure.

I tried Boss Air Suspensions, but they only sell a dual needle gauge.

Any ideas?

Listen to Shane....

I went down that path, but it worked out so much easier to get the procomp shocks from Shane. Straight forward install with maximum articulation without compromising compressed length.

Hey Shane....did you watch the 4wdaction DVD yet?

I here you

I used to have 33 x 10.5 on 15 x 7 rims...the car felt very tippy and looked weird.

I am currently in 4wd Custom Action No 6 if you want to have a look at my rims.

Cheers
