BLACK smoke is diesel that has combusted.

WHITE smoke like I had was uncombusted diesel, due to massive overfuelling.

'09 Hilux Tacho feed wire

Hi people,

As the title states, I'm chasing a signal or feed wire to use for an external tacho on my 02/2009 dual cab hilux, if it makes any difference, it has a 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 with 5 speed auto...

Hoping some kind of genius reads this and can help out lol

I had an issue similar to this with one of my old 2H's, turned out to be a buggered diaphragm in the back of the fuel pump.

Symptoms were, rough running of engine, very bad white smoke issues (obviously overfuelling)...

Cost me $70 all up, a diesel fitter friend of mine fixed it at the time.
