Re: upgrading stock patrol headlights
i still dont know why people bother with upgrading wireing looms the benefit to cost is hardly there. I have upgrade my GU with HID head lights and so have many of my mates, the best thing to do is get the correct setup. 1. Go with 35w high/low beam setup not a 55w kit as they are to bright ideal fo...

Hi all, Im in the process of getting some new spot lights and was thinking of the Lightforce XGT's or the new lightforce genesis. 1. Ive read that you should use h3 globes with adaptors for the XGT's is this correct? as this removes the shadow spot in the lights. 2. Use the lightforce genesis, and g...

Re: Bigger Turbo on TD42!!
Hi all, Sent my Garrett T3 turbo off to GCG in Sydney the other day to be remodelled! It’s the turbo that is used as part of the Safari kit on the TD42. I came up with some ideas and this is what they want to do: Machine my T3 housing to suit a GT3071R 84 trim turbine wheel, and GT3071R CHRA. Fit a...

well if you have the big rear diff the diffs from a 3.0L wont fit even if you get the whole center the crown wheel and pinion will be to small. Your only option is to put the complete GQ diff (disc to disc) under your GU wagon. If you want a large genuine 4.3 crown wheel and pinion you can only find...

Say if you were to put the garret turbo on and run 15 psi you would effectively be running over 140kw and run lower exhaust temps. WTF 140kw  No Way! A mate who got JPC to do his setup is running a garret ballbearing turbo, front mount intercooler, modded pump and 3inch exhaust is getting 13...

i wouldnt go the machining of the manifold seen them crack after this being carried due the extreme temps that are in the engine bay... I would either get more fuel and boost put in say 15psi and that will give u about 100kw at the rear wheels. cost about $200 or change turbo the garret GT28RS will ...

Mine's a 4.2, high flowed turbo pushing about 16psi, intercooled, had the pump and injectors recalibrated, runs an auxilliary fuel pump to prime the main p...

I need a proffesional in melbourne to cut the gaurds to fit RR flares to a 4 door. The bigger tyres are rubbing and getting choppedup. I think that as there is plenty of space inside the gaurds then this is a good option over bumpstopping bodylift etc. It cannot be a hack job. It would need to look...
