i wouldnt worry about wasting the money or time with the vane turbo from a cruiser, you wont get the benefits of having the vane its electronically controlled which is done from the cruiser management systems. youll need all the sensors that signal the module and the emu to control the vane pitch ...

yeah mate its not something you can do at home its needs to go to a diesel specialist as there is machining you need to do to get the larger plunger fit and also there is cam work etc to get it all going proplerly and they test it for flow etc also if its apart youll need them to put it back ...

yeah mate anything will do any basic one all use the same principle of keeping the car powerd until the time runs out all you have to do is wire it in with ignition, the more sophisticated ones you can set to turn off when exhaust or other temp reaches a certain temp but for diesel 30sec is plenty ...

17mm socket 8-10' extension and 1/2 ratchet will get you out of trouble and you can then take the 2 copper washers into an auto store like super cheap or autobarn or even injector place and match them up for new ones then check the banjo fitting and the sealing surfaces for and pittin or scrathes or ...

GQ Cab Chassis fuel tank

Hey guys,

Just wondering i am wanting to remove the tow bar on my ute and need to know what anyone has done to raise the tank or change it to stop it from being hit as it will be the next thing if i take the tow bar off any help would be great, the fuel tank is right at the back.

Mate I have exactly the same problem with my 92 turbo'd GQ. I've done everything you've done, including a tune incase it was a fuel problem. I've just bought a top mount intercooler which is on it's way. Let us know how you go with new hoses. Cheers still no change with the hoses, even retorqued ...

Bottom radiator hose might be worth looking at. My old GU had very similar problem however it was anything over 100 - 105, I quite often like to sit on 115. I replaced the bottom hose with a wire wrapped hose, had a spiral of wire inside the hose. As I suspected the hose was colapsing with high ...

has been replaced along with thermo coolant and flushed, head chacked and head gasket done, is not bubling while running with cap off replaced cap isnt overfilling overflow bottle just getting too hot after 90kmh radiator is cleaned and rodded nothing in front of it at all no a/c or intercooler ...

hey andy, yeah i got pretty much all the dirt out have got the new injectors fitted will see how they go on the weekend, the shop here said they do them to 98bar but they got abit higher to 105 bar i asked them to give me 115 bar which they said wont hurt the car and they cant see what having higher ...
