GQ glow plug problems
Hey all, now that were coming into winter my glow plugs are taking at least ten key turns to get going. This has only happened since the addition of the turbo. A mechanic told me that i could of fried them due to the extra heat the turbo produces... I found that to be a little :?: and to use GU glow ...

..got a set of twin pistons and rotors of a later model tb42 and bolted them to my 89 TD42... It made a difference... pulls up alot harder... beware.... changing them was easy... bleeding them correctly took hours....

there just generally shit cars i guess.. mine did 2 diffs a gear box and multiple electronic problems including lights staying on when the keys aren't in the car and the switch is off.. hazards randomly coming on a fuel cut problems that caused the car to literally bounce down the road... the blue ...

beautiful, thanks mate when i get her back from the exhaust shop ill give it a go hopefully its jsut that and not shagged seals... it has no shaft play so i was hoping it was just blowby... may have to run a cach can myself then... Cheers for that....

it kinda gathers around at the bottom bolt of the turbo that holds the waste gate to the turbo then drips to the bottom of the turbo

thats exactly what its doing a small drop looks like its coming out of the bolt.. U mean u diconnected the crank case breather hose?

hey all i have noticed a small oil leak from my HT18 turbo on the compressor side.. it seems to form a small drop on the underside of the turbo and i have determined that its leaking from the join in the turbo that the elbow comes from to feed over into the motor Could this be shagged front seal or ...

ok thanks for the info mate...
i have a 5 to 6 inch lift as it is on measuring due to the lack of weight in my vehicle... but the shocks im using are shagged... with a lift this size can i use the 45mm adjustable shock off your website in the rear and front of my vehicle?

WOW... ok so my pyro probe is right on the point where air travels into the turbo.. so i can get it up to 750 deg with no dramas? Most things on the internet say 550... That must be after the turbo... so i have a bit of room to play with then... although im not wiling to try and get it up to that ...

..Thanks guys Have wound it up, its running a hell of alot better now... I had to adjust the idle it was a bit faster after i did it... Its making 13PSI now with only a small turn, still not getting any smoke at all, just a small haze so my guess is itll do till i get my full exhaust sorted ...

Im running a modified GU turbo... its been hi flowed and currently just running a dump pipe as my exhaust needs modification.... Just though id mention too that my Pyro guage probe is before the ...

..if you have the money, buy a couplertec... Use rust converter as said above, in 6 weeks wen the couplertec gets a good hold of the car and the rust and surface rust it already has... thats it... youll never have to worry about it again...

Yea, i need a turbo one, my one has cracked and split...making the car an Scanas dog to drive.. May just get a MTQ one, The HT18 is a T3 pattern? Or is it a T25/28... Pretty sure MTQ sell low mounts

I need a GU manifold, the stock one off a 4.2, anyideas on a wrecker where i can find one in Sydney? Already tried Bob at eastcoast and he appears to only have a full kit.
