bru, my cruiser had 3 or 4 inch lift and i ran the patrol 3-5" kings (10 inch travel shocks) successfully for 2 years, had a reasonably hard life including 4 wheels off the ground frequently and never had an issue with bottoming etc. ran 10" regular Kings in the rear and had to extend the mounts up ...

mine spec has been B pillar and back for a few years now anyway... last i heard they dont allow A pillar style cages as it can impede emergency egress and hamper the efforts of ERT in cutting you out. personally, for me the decision for 80s style bush rear is purely because the landcruisers have so much tighter a front end, they dont seem to sway (not roll, but i cant think of the word) as much and just feel more responsive in the front end. they also dont know and feel smoother over bumps... i ...

cranky fitted a centrifugal supercharger if i remember correctly, not really made for that ball tearing torque that you get with a positive displacement blower, specially down low in the rev range. however, PD blowers tend to use more fuel as the engine is always boosting where a centi has a sort of ...

they use ultra thin shit quality staino, it cracks faster than a fat kid in an icecream shop. i think they sound crap on petrols, so doubt they would sound any better on a diesel... they are very tinny sounding.

Re: diesel engine cut off switch
remove or power (whichever way it works on your motor) the fuel cut solenoid through a relay and a switch. if it is for safety legalities i.e. cams, you may find it needs to be a mechanical cutoff and you will need to see the governing bodies rules on what needs to be cut off i.e. fuel, power, etc.

If its power your after petrol will be your answer, don't be fooled into thinking diesels are better on fuel when there pushed to produce power. And you'll make more power with the petrol. Mine makes 209.1rwkw and 690nm and still gets 12-12.5lt/100km. What are you basing your comments on? Marty got ...

they have a really good standard ecm.. capable of quite large cams maintaining good cold startup and idle, and running 2 bar of boost if the tuner is good enough and knows the software. call up hi torque in labrador for a good power tuner and walkinshaw for a really reliable safe tuner, they are the ...

weight for a buggy wouldnt be too bad, only way to do it would be a hydrostat setup, direct driven variable displacement pump (ie no gearbox) to either individual wheel motors either series linked or fed through a good flow controll setup ,or 2 motors attatched where the tailshafts would be . would ...

As luck would have it. I've just done a cat 1.1 motor today with the same symptoms. 2 loose injectors were letting combustion gases past the injector seals and blackening the fuel being returned to tank. Might be worth checking out. Do the engines run fine?

Hi Mate, No experience with this engine but on some caterpillar diesels the diesel fuel injectors are actuated by oil pressure from the engine oil. Possibly if its the same or similar system then you've got an injector problem, possibly only one by the sounds of it. This would explain why you're ...

i know the torque for a landcruiser 79 series vdj (5x14mm fine thread) is 75lbft. youll be nervous when you do it for the first time as it feels like a poofter could fart tighter than your doing your wheel nuts.
