Hi people I have an 89 Hilux i wanna rebuild from the ground up what running gear should i put in it i want a new motor because the old one is stuffed and i want a disel engine what are your suggestions also what modifications should i put on it although i do want it to be street legal

i was just wondering was it possible to put a 2L-T in my 1985 hilux and is the engine the same as the 2L with a turbo put on it or is it completely different and if i can't get a 2L-T what engine should i put in it that is simple to put in thanks.
