I have give up on the chevy conversion and sticking to the 304 rebuild. I just hit the buy now button on a 355 Scat assembly with scat / chevy rods and 10.5:1 forged probe pistons for $2000 .No turning back now Just a bit more shopping and a bit of machineing and assembly to do and the old cruiser ...

compression ratio for 355 stroker
Is 10.7:1 compression too high to run on 98 premium out of the pump in my VP Stroker or will it detonate itself to death. I only intend on running a mild sort of cam so i can run it on LPG a fair bit of the time . The engine iis for my 80 series cruiser

yeh she's already breathes through a 2 1/2 exhaust and sounds pretty sweet for an old cruiser. Yeh it does go to the mall a bit these days but probably not as much as some thats for sure it gets a run up the beach now and then and often gets sideways around the forestry trails at full noise but no ...
