hey mate, if your goin to go to local bolt bloke, u may as well get hi-tensile bolts, just to b on the safe side. have u tried to turn bolt with multi grips from the opposite side of bolt??? probly ur cheapest way rather than spending $3 dollars. spray some wd40 on bolts over night, next day measure ...

hey mate, hope this helps, ive got a 89 triton 4x4, originally 2.6/5speed, and i converted it to a later model ecotec v6/ auto. got conversion kit from marks adaptors, was a simple conversion, there instructions are very clear, although i had to put a 2inch body lift otherwise body would hit ...

Re: diff ratios with sas

hey mate, ive had the same thoughts, the conversion your after will set u back roughly 10k and onwards. your best option is to convert to 75series diffs or dana 35's but your problem is the transfer case, u will need an adaptor plate to mate up the new transfer case to your gearbox. the IFS transfer ...

earlier commdore v6 have 125kw@4800rpm-292nm@3200rpm, ecotecs start from 147kw@5200rpm-305nm@3600rpm, with the help of a turbo bolted to its side, well....endless! my opinion, i would do holden conversion, cheaper parts, and u could get parts pretty much anywhere

Re: turbo on a 4g54?

if i was to do any mods, i'd turbo a standed motor rather than one with 10.1 comp, that thing would throw the cyl head through the bonnet b4 u know it. ud b suprised on how much it can handle, fair enough a well built motor will make more power on less boost, if built right, but IF something lets go ...

hey mate, changing over to an aftermarket, will you be required to change injectors n fuel pump? wouldnt it be pointless for an aftermarket ecu pumping out the same fuel through a factory injector? Straight gas it, turbo's love it! by the time u waste ur money on fuel pumps/regs/injectors n throttle ...

Re: holden v6 in to a NB pajero... any help please!!! :)

hey there, i done a conversion to my '89' triton a few months ago, but mines backed with a 4L60E 4 speed auto, conversion is pretty much straight forward, but you will need patience to make it easier. Old engine mounts would have to be cut off chassis, and weld new ones more forward, Marks 4wd ...

Re: mitsubishi diff ratios

with my original set up worn out 2.6cyl/5 speed manual, if i had put 33's alll terrains on that, i would agree that i'd be using more fuel to turn the tyre, now with the v6 conversion, my torque is almost triple than standard so therefore turning the 33' tyres is like my 2.6cyl turning a 28' tyre ...

hey guys, i understand to turn a bigger tyre requires more throttle to keep the momentum but please understand a commodore/buick engine is more economical at 1800-2000rpm. If a commodore with a 3.08 diff ratio is sitting on 2400-2500rpm it will be travelling at roughly 100-115kmh, now with my 31's i ...
