Gq or Gu?
If its a Gq both boxes are interchangeable. Im currently running a rd28 box with my Rb30.
Gu box is different due to sensors as far as I know.
There are no other gearbox options that will work easily.

Re: High pinion centers
I did mine a month or so back. Works well. Used an ARB centre and everything just bolted up bar the pinion flange.
I raised the filler about 75mm and ended up putting 5.5ish l of oil in there. Everything seems to work thus far.
Easy job overall.

Any guess how a set of those would go in a GQ compared to me replacing the whole diff with a stock GU diff?

Re: tb42 head problems
You would really want to get the head tested. We had a similar issue with a tb42, pulled the head off. The head looked fine, and the gasket looked finished. Replaced the gasket, and the same problem still existed. Given the common nature of heads cracking, you might aswell get it tested while its ...

Where are these things manufactured ? Isnt there a free trade agreement going on if they are made in the USA, which should make some of the import taxes lower.

Re: How do front lockrites go on the beach?
Only time I've had any issues with the front lokka is on mud, where the car will occasionally tend to not want to turn.
On sand, I've never had his problem.

Re: GQ axle to CV Snapring
The guy at nissan was able to find the part on the computer, but then when I asked for pricing said they wernt able to get them because Nissan no longer made them. Following from that Marks 4x4, Yuris and pretty much every patrol place I called didnt stock them either. Ended up finding them at a ...

GQ axle to CV Snapring
Hey guys,
I can not find a Snap ring for where the axle meets the CV (Birfield) for a GQ patrol. I'm after the snap ring that physical sits inside the CV, and breaks when you separate the CV from the axle.
Im in desperate need of one, and Nissan no longer make them.

Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
Im currently running a set of 35x13.5 Mudzilla (M8080) on my GQ. They have been decent so far, and not really found them lacking for grip in the stuff I drive on, comparing to a mates car I can definitely see there superior to the Cooper STT (obvious isn't it). My biggest concern is that the ...
