Is there any particular reason you need double din? There are still some great head units with DVD, GPS ect in a fold out single din unit.

Why not look to get it engineered as is? Even if its not legal a good engineer should be able to provide guidance on the best way to go about getting it road worthy. Good luck and congrats on picking up the zook!

My suggestion would be to practise on a few panels prior to doing the car, spraying your own can can be pretty straight foward but also a painful experience if not done correctly. A hvlp gun in preferable. Make sure you pay a lot of attention to the prep work, prep work is 90% of the job. What kind ...
