was up there this morning, beach right up to DI is nice and flat, not too many people camping up there at the moment, so is pretty peaceful, as the other guys said, try to hit the rainbow side at low (an hour either side should be still sweet) to get around the trees that are down.

on my first lux, I chopped the chassis right behind the spring hangers and just welded a new cross member inbetween the ends (made of C channel), it passed a roadworthy after it was done.

I think it's about a 93 model, but managed to find the problem, was an earth leak near the battery, cleaned it up, re-did the connections and sweet as now cheers

yeah I did shorten it ray, can't remember how much, here's a pic of the original vs shorten outer tube, also had the have the shaft shortened and resplined.

I used a 60 series column, now I got lights/indicators/wipers all on the column, only thing is the wiring, but it's not that hard to make it work.

I'd be really interested in the legalities of that one too twisty, spoke to the boys @ eureka and it's $450 for the disc kit which has the studs, stud spacers, brackets and longer bolts in it (need to supply own calipers and rotors), but if the 60 swivel hub can be engineered it'd be a much cheaper ...
