Hi all, Has anyone looked at/seen or put in a single bucket seat in the rear of a 105 series std wagon ? I am looking to convert the wagon to be able to put a stretcher in the rear for emergency evacuation. My plan is to remove the rear bench seat and possibly the front passenger bench seat and ...

According to ARB, the only difference between series 1,2,3 & series 4 is the cut out in front of the grill. The cut out is larger on the series 4, due to the grill shape.
A series 4 bar will fit on an earlier model, but have a larger gap between the bar and the grill.

I have looked into this as the seats in my GU are crap !
The SA authorities told me that as long as the seats/vehicle did not contain side curtain airbags I could fit whatever seats I liked, no engineering - nothing !

Not sure if all states take this position though ?

Thanks for your help guys, I now understand. It seams as though I have confused myself into believing that there is a problem, when there really isnt :!: I assumed that when the cam sprocket mark was inline with the cover mark, that the engine should be at TDC on #1 on the compression stroke. From your original post If i spin the crank 1 revolution, it will align the cam timing mark, but the engine will not be on TDC on #1 compression stroke. at camshaft 180 out of sync, It definitely appears to be ready for ignition on cylinder #1. The engine is set at TDC on #1 on the compression stroke (both valves are fully closed with correct valve clearance gap). The ignition rotor is pointing to #1 and the valves on #4 are rocking (ie exhaust closing/inlet opening). This is the position that the cam timing should be checked at. #1 is at ...

Im replacing the front crank seal on the zook (G13A) and have a possible problem in that the camshaft timing sprocket is 180 degree's out of alignment when the engine is on TDC on #1 on the compression stroke. Recently the zook has been running poorly, lacking power, wont pull over 80kmh, higher than normal fuel consumption, exhaust staining the garage floor black. I had the 2.8 td and put a 2.5" exhaust from the turbo back, with a single straight through muffler.
Transformed the car !
Enables the turbo to spool up quicker, much better low down torque and pulled hard from 1500rpm. I had the pump timing and fuelling checked after its fitment.
