Re: T70 garret on a td42 any one doneit

Been there done that!
They are too big on the exhaust side.
Mine had a .84 rear and didn't get any boost at all until 3000rpm with a 12mm pump on it.
Go with a custom one if you want something big. Off the shelf just doesn't do the job on TD42.

Re: Tachometer Probblem

Yes you are right that ZD30 only came out in 00, The RD28t as it is the same as a TB45de one and different to the TD engines. Here is the exact listing for the Tacho assy in the cluster for Aus delivered patrol wagons. I Reckon your problem will be in the wiring harness, check the wiring diagram for ...

Re: 4.2 Conversion Tacho Issues

Or fit an early GU ZD30 instrument cluster. Or have the alternator fitted with a W terminal then get the tachometer modded to take the signal from that. I have just gone through the same thing put a GQ TD into a RD28 GU body. The ECU was missing from the body so I'm going with a ZD30 cluster to get ...

Re: GQ 5speed into a GU

Guys,
These are not ever close to fitting in. The front section of the shift housings of the GQ box hits the floor.
Body lift is needed and a massive floor cut to get it working.
To save everyone else the muck around that i have just had over the last few days.

GQ 5speed into a GU

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if a GQ TD42 5speed can be fitted into an GU sr1 wagon?
I'm about to do a conversion from RD28t to TD42 using GQ running gear.
I already know that the shifters are going to be different.

Thanks , Andrew

Remote is either faulty, has a flat battery or has lost its code.
check the charge in the battery in the remote & also check contact on the circuit board for green scumm
If all is good take it too Nissan for a recode.
that's where i would start anyway.

Try some heat on the bearing casing until it expands enough, then give a good hit with a hammer and punch!

Re: bull bar mounts on d22

Your local nissan dealer should be able to sort you out.
There will be a part number punched on the centre underside of the bar, that should get them on the right path on getting you the correct ones.
if you have no luck post the part number of the Bar & i will give you some part number.
