All V6's ran a knock sensor, same as the V8, just get one from the wreckers for $10, and then take CRUSHU up on his offer to get you the required loom.

I'm after some specs on a hilux diff that i;m about to do a ratio swap in.
Is there a online workshop manual hosted somewhere on the net?

Has anyone got a copy of the critical specs handy?

Thanks in advance

From what my understanding is, the LPG run additional to the diesel, and acts as a catylst to the burn. Some older deisels burn at about 70% effiecency, and some of the very late europeans run at about 85-90%.
If you bleed in a small amount of LPG, 100% burn is easily acheivable.
I cannot remember ...

Are there any links to the kit on the net? For that price it would want to be pretty comprhensive, and computer controlled at a minimum. In the US, they have quite a few carby set-ups that go cheaply, probably not to suit a patrol though. Can't be too hard to re-tune.

My reasoning for not getting a HT tyre, is trying to find a good quality one in that size, being 285/75/16.
Can anyone recoemend one to me?

WHY?

i dont understand why u would want agressive tires when u dont go offroad why not get road tires?

Exactly, you will get better economy, better braking, quieter, better grip with road tyres (HT) than AT or even worse MT tyres.

My MTR's are bloody dangerous in the wet on road. I hope I never ...

MTR's or BFG A/T's

I'm getting new tyres in a 285/75/16 or 305/70/16 this week.
My GQ only does road driving, are the BFG A/T's going to be any better on the tarmac than MTR's?
I have done a search but couldn;t find any specific feedback on the above comparison.

Thanks

I'd recomend going straight to goodyear or beaurepairs for MTR's. Beauy are supposed to price match, so tell them you can get them for $260, and see what they say.

240kw at the Wheels, that would be so highly strung, you wouldnt wanna plan on treating it hard and having it last..

240RWKW is nothing for even a std TB42. The motor will be fine, i would be more worried about other driveline parts if he treats it hard.
TB42's are very strong bottom ends ...

I have read your post again.

The octane rating of LPG is no way even close to what it was 10yrs ago. I usually think around 95 to 104 is about the best you will get from pump LPG, they add a lot more butane than they used to. Propane is what has a higher octane and is what is used in the US, we ...

TB42 Ignition set-ups

I have looked into doing a electronic conversion on my TB42, but they don't really give any extra spark/energy at the coil/plug. HEI kits seem to be around the $990 mark-which is rediculous for what they are.
My next option was to graft a Delco set-up off a VP V6 commodore. I have priced all the ...

Problem being when you put a new thrust collar on, the run out/ rotation can throw it out of round, hence having to rotate the comp wheel to align the whole assy again.
