Check pirate4x4 website, or failing that ring up Ateco..... When I rebuilt mine, I used Castrol 75W-120 gear oil. I figured the heavy weight and viscosity would help under load. Also the main seal on the side used to weep oil. Once the thicker stuff went in, it didn't leak one drop..... While you in ...

I've seen the standard charger 2nd hand for $600. Problem is that you need to have all the plumbing etc with it, and the ECU has different calibration. Not sure it will accept a simple Memcal chip swap. Thoughg is it heapscheaper than buying new, I've heard of many people having niggling probs fro a ...

An LN130 shape Surf is identical to the late model 4Runners, and Hilux's (I think)in terms of chassis mountings etc for front bars.

He could get one of either to take the dimensions off. Remember to allow for difference in bar height if your Surf has a bodylift.

X pipes have been used in Nascar for years, known as a "Doctor Gas" pipe. They are used when the exhausts are of the 4 into 1 type not tri Y's, to balance pulses, and help with torque. Chevs are more respnsive to this than Holden engines, hence why V8 Supercars (Chevs), Nascar, and road going Gen 3 ...

I know F1 cars don't have major dramas with dust, but 9 out 10 teams use K&N oiled air filters. These guys spend millions so they can and do investigate all the options, so if they find K&N the best blend of filtration & flow, its good enough for me, regardless of what that graph shows....

K&N all the way, simply because you service it whenever you want. Just tap it on a bench every 5000 or so kays (epending how much dust you go through), and wash every 15,000 - 20,000 kays. Plus they are more robust than the paper type elements that you can buy. Really hard to "over oil", easiest ...

I replaced the Warn plug with a small 5 pin Narva plug. Controller end was easy, just had to make some brackets for the female end into the control box. Of course, I only used 3 out of 5 pins. Best to use some heat shrink over the plug & wires for toughness. As for the solenoids, see if the old ...
