Mate, Ive got the exact same Hilux, 99 Single cab non turbo diesel 3.0L 5L engine...They are def IFS and are very limited when it comes to liftkits etc. Pretty good price, i got mine for 13000 from dealership which had 2 inch suspension lift, extractors, snorkel, water tank, and 245000kms. Hey bud, to test the starter motor, if u get someone to turn the key so its cranking, and hit the bottom of the starter with a hammer a few times, a good smack, it should start, or the wire running over the top of the starter could be loose, i dunno what it is but it could be the problem, happened ...

What is the pricing on these tyres? I was lookin at 33" Maxxis Bighorns for around 250 each plus 70 each for new 15x8 rims but if these are a better price, maybe i should look at these? Anyone used both these types of tyres? I really want BIG side lugs on my tyres for mudplay so any suggestions?

Could be the whole starter motor, and if its making the same sound as mine was which I think it is, while ur tryning to start it, get someone to smack the bottom of the starter motor with a hammer and if it starts u need a new one...after i put the new one in, i still had trouble cause a wire that ...

Yeah I've had a couple people tell me to put a front locker in, but more people say a rear cause wouldnt that make up for the limited flex on the front?? and also, if u put a locker in the front of an IFS, doesnt that give u more of a chance of snapping cv's and stuff cause tyres are always lifting ...

I have the 3.0L diesel 5L engine in my 99 lux, and i Had these same noises, but it happened after I blew the engine, it was making big end sounds but it was really running bad already...Take it to a mechanic and show them, where abouts do you live?

Also engine mounts my uncle had problems with in his extrail after bumpy beach 4x4ing and that made it run incredibly bad ...

I have a 2 inch suspension lift atm, thats all mods suspension wise. I need new ones cause they are old and time to replace it, leaking shit etc Dont really have anything in mind of what to achieve, max flex out of rear axle as i can, just gotta fuck around with the leafs to give it more down travel ...
